Dad and I had to spend a night in Amy’s old bedroom last week because the waterbed sprang a leak. It was just a little one and easily fixed, but was in a spot that we’d already fixed once before, so we knew it was time to replace it. We’d been talking about the state of our bedroom carpet recently cause it was looking quite worn, so decided it was time to replace it since we’d have to take the bed apart to do the mattress already. (Hope that makes sense. LOL Two birds with one stone, so to speak.)
Here’s some pictures of the process. The new carpet is just the same as the livingroom carpet. We could have gotten different, I suppose, but I like the livingroom carpet so much I wanted to do the same thing.
This picture was specifically requested by Amy:

Taking out the staples from the old pad (which was falling apart – literally):

The installer was super fast . . . he was done in TWO HOURS.

It feels and looks nice.
Now we’re in the process of putting it all back together again. It’s simply mind boggling to see how much STUFF we had. I used it as an opportunity to re-assess everything that goes back in.
Good job, Dad, on doing the bulk of the hard work. You’re a gem. *mwah*

I love my thumbs-up picture!!! Thank you!
I hadn’t realised you would have to clear out the closets too, that must have been difficult.
It looks fantastic, so glad you were able to get to sorted all at once.
